 MX PRI-3xPRI is telecommunication device designed to solve problems occurring when the "last mile" is to be overcome. When subscribers are being connected to a telecommunication network it is necessary to connect euroISDN subscribers or private branch exchanges in a certain location and not enough suitable cables are available. MX PRI-3xPRI offers a simple and economical possibility to connect a group of euroISDN subscribers or private branch exchanges to the telephone exchange through the E1 line.
MX PRI-3xPRI divides incoming PRI (30B+D) E1 line with DSS1 signaling to 3 lines with the same interface and signaling. To the PRI lines it is possible to connect private branch exchanges or device of MX-PRI-S0 type. MX PRI-3xPRI is possible to use in case the connected subscribers or private branch exchanges do not use full capacity of E1 line. Application MX PRI-3XPRI is connected via public or private telephone network to the public or private branch exchange. There may be a cable or radio connection. Subscribers are directly connected to the MX PRI-3xPRI via PRI E1 lines. MX PRI-3xPRI virtually fulfils the function of a "digital concentrator". Each private branch exchange is connected through the E1 line, but in service does not use full capacity of E1 line.  Software MX PRI-3xPRI is delivered with two versions of software: these two software versions are used on the same hardware. Choice of the software version depends only on requested application and possibilities of the telephone exchange with connected MX PRI-3xPRI. Version V1 provides call routing due to the B-channel selected for the call. Version V2 provides call routing due to the called number.
Configuration MX PRI-3xPRI is controlled and configured with a simple control program, which makes installation and maintenance of the equipment very easy. The program can set up a wide range of parameters of the equipment. All necessary configuration of MX PRI-3xPRI can be performed locally on PC via serial channel or remotely via ISDN line and ISDN card in PC. Diagnostics MX PRI-3xPRI is equipped with efficient diagnostic means of monitoring the activity. Basic information about the status of MX PRI-3xPRI is indicated with LED's on front panels of modules. More detailed diagnostic information is possible to obtain on PC via serial channel. Monitor of protocols A part of the delivered software is an integrated monitor of protocols that helps to put MX PRI-3xPRI in service and when needed helps to solve operational problems. The monitor of protocols offers a detailed log on the level of data link layer (layer 2) and DSS 1 signaling (layer 3). Mechanical design MX PRI-3xPRI is built into the standard 19" rack with height 3U or in the box of steel sheet that is designed for this device. MX PRI-3xPRI in 19" rack can be placed in the standard frames with transmission equipment. In one 19" rack, several MX PRI-PRI-S0 devices can be built. The rack 19" have its top and bottom parts manufactured of perforated sheet. Perforation holes enable heat removal from the boxes thanks to natural airflow.
